It’s always bothered me when people would proclaim “Hip Hop is dead”, “lyricism is dead.” Anything else of the sort has, too. The statement itself isn’t what bothered me. It was the unwillingness of these people to go and look for new music they’d like instead of always bashing music they hate. Thankfully, New England Hip Hop supergroup ST. Da Squad (Termanology, Reks, Ea$y Money, SuperSTah Snuk, Artisin, Hectic, Clip, Machete, Dj Deadeye) is back on the radar and ready to destroy all “boom bap” hot takes. After 15+ years of releasing countless solo projects, and two group projects, the crew is finally gearing up to release their debut album – “Self Titled”.

“Self Titled” is packed with 17 lyrically-driven tracks and features beatwork from such noteables as Statik Selektah, Baby Paul, Vinny Idol, Deli, Shawneci, Billy Loman, Shortfyuz, and more. The first single, “It’s The ST. 2.0 (Let Em’ Know)”, is a re-introduction to the group, backed by Statik Selektah’s signature production. With “Self Titled”, the group is back to give Hip Hop fans what they’ve been asking for – authentic, raw, unfiltered Hip Hop music.
