Ace Henderson – “Runaway”

Ace Henderson makes a smooth return after a year long hiatus with “Runaway.” As Ace has learned, “holding your tongue — or the bottle is more deadly and painful than fully engaging and being real with yourself in any moment of truth.” He has an angst towards the growing pains that come with closure from the ups and downs of a relationship.

His desire for a “fresh start” is so relatable over the production from New York based engineer/producer L.Camino, who produced “Venaquí,” a two-part single that caught the ear of Solange Knowles’ record-label Saint Heron last summer. You can feel every twist and turn through the stuttering hi hat arrangement and warping 808 patterns.
