Los Angeles by way of New York singer Rodes Rollins has released her woozy folk-psychedelic debut project, entitled Young Adult. Rollins first turned heads with the premiere of her solo standalone track entitled “Young and Thriving,” which released back in November.

Those who are skeptical on the folk genre should still be able to appreciate Rodes’ artistry on Young Adult.  Her songs include elements of folk, pop, western, with some psychedelic rock sprinkled in. Those melodious sounds, combined with Rollins’ alluring tales of navigating her way through young adulthood, create an intriguing narrative.
