Is @BurmanFree the best rapper in Nashville? #TheTwitterMixtape

If you listen to Burman (@BurmanFree) rap, it’s pretty easy to see that he has all the tools of a star in the making. Bars, charisma, and the ability to construct a quality song, front to back. Burman submitted “Last”, the 1st single from @TheMixCrew‘s #TheTwitterMixtape, and never has elevator music been molded into something so dope. He’s on the verge, and someone you may need to know. Learn more about this Tennessee Titan below.

How did you hear about #TheTwitterMixtape?

Me and @MyNig are good friends, I’ve been on his previous projects with @TheMixCrew, and told him whatever he needs I got ’em. I enjoy being a part of what they are doing. People that listen to the projects always tell me they dig my songs. So it’s just smart for me to keep submitting.

What is the story behind the song you submitted?

“Last” is really how I feel about the world mixed intertwined facts about myself. People put their faith into everything worldly, money, cars, clothes, when at the end of the day God is the only real thing that lasts. People think you have to be perfect when all God asks you is to be yourself and make an effort to live right, so even though I speak about things that I may partake in that are of worldly convictions. In spite of that, my faith and beliefs are in God. I strive to live the best I can for Him. I just want people to feel like it’s cool to still believe or have faith in God, cause as I said, that’s the only thing that will last.

Musically, what is your creative process like?

My process is everywhere. I may toke up and hear a dope beat and be inspired. I may be thinking heavily and just need to release my emotion. It’s whatever comes naturally for me.

Are there any artists you admire and respect that you draw influence from?

Curren$y and Phonte more than anyone. Both have big influences on my hip hop background. I’m in a group called FreeNation. There are 5 of us: Me, Playboy Prop, JStock, Maine the Saint, and I’m sure you’ve heard of Mick Jenkins already. We’re all pretty dope at rapping. We’re all different, but we’ll wash your favorite rapper too.

Aside from music, are there other ways you express creativity?

I paint and draw. I love to perform.

What can we expect from you in the future?

I’m gonna keep this a secret for the most part. But be ready for Most Slept On. That’s my next project. That’s really all I’m going to allow myself to say. I’m gonna represent Nashville to the fullest. We’ve got so much talent in the city, so many talented artists that rap and sing, and more people need to hear about us. You’re gonna hear a lot rap outta Nashville soon. We’re not just gonna be known for country tunes. Watch what I say.

Where can new fans learn more about you and your art?

Few places, actually. Of course @BurmanFree on Twitter. I’m on Snap as burman615, and the same on IG. Thank you for listening and supporting.
