“Divine Minds II” finds The Fifth Estate delving more into his soulful roots, over top of jazzy piano and muted percussion.
The Texas native has been quiet since “Riot” dropped last summer, honing his craft in preparation for a forthcoming project later this year. We hear both musing, poignant lyricism and lofty harmonies from the reclusive creative.
As with the original “Divine Minds,” this song also poses the rhetorical question: Is it the God in the man, or the believer? “Divine Minds” is a cool, calm listen produced by Moon that will appeal to jazz and hip-hop lovers alike.
